There are so many coupons this week that will pair nicely with the Kroger Mega Event sale that goes through 8/8/17.
In addition, did you remember that it is the Sales Tax Holiday or as I like to refer to it – the Tax FREE Back-to-School Shopping. You may ask what exactly does that mean? Well, let me tell you, it means save BIG time by paying no State Sales Tax.
During the sale, the following items are tax exempt from sales tax:
· Clothing priced at $75 per item or less
· School supplies priced at $20 per item or less
· School instructional material priced at $20 or less
Also, remember that Office Max has their weekly penny, quarter, fifty cent, and dollar deals, so you can snag these without paying tax. There are also many places accepting donations of Back-To-School items for their backpack projects. Why not pick up a few extra items and donate to one of these wonderful charities. It truly is hard to believe in just a few more weeks the kids will be heading back to school. I honestly cannot believe we are even discussing back to school but it is right around the corner. This summer sure has gone fast, hasn’t it?!
Kohls, JC Penney’s, Macy’s, and many of the stores in our local malls will also be running sales to get you in the door to make a purchase. You may not think you are saving much money, but for every $100 you spend, you will save $7.25 and that adds up quickly. With the tax-free holiday many of the stores will be packed, so be sure you are going with a good attitude, because the lines may be long ? Also, be sure to be considerate to the store employees as they will be working hard!
