I just LOVE when we can snag some FREEBIES! I always tell people, if you wait, you can always get FREE toothpaste. When this happens, it is also a great time to donate back to our community. Many people are not aware that SNAP is just for food items, so the hygienic items are an additional cost to people who are already struggling. It is such a blessing to those struggling to go to a food bank/pantry and be able to pick up these items. We have so many wonderful charities to donate to in our community. Wouldn’t it be AWESOME if everyone reading the paper today would use the Crest coupon and pick up a FREE tube of toothpaste and give back to our community? Super cool trickle effect we could have to show how far a little kindness can go.
We have a pretty sweet spot in our hearts for the Ronald McDonald House. Two years ago, our son, Jonah, underwent open heart surgery. He had a very rare heart condition (only 6th in the world with his condition) and we know first-hand that the Ronald McDonald House is a great charity. They help families that have to be away from home. We would like to give a special shout out to Dr. Suarez, Jonah’s cardiologist, as well as the surgeons and cardiologists at the University of Michigan for taking such great care of our son. He is back to playing soccer at full strength and we appreciate all the diligence of all of the physicians that were, and still are, involved in his care.
